We are a family-owned and run company. We live and work a centuries-old, mussel-harvesting heritage, always with our local community at heart.

OUR STORY

It all begins with a father, two sons and one simple philosophy: start from where you are. For Bob, Paudie and Brian Murnane, founders of our company, this starting point is Bantry Bay. A place of legendary beauty and one of the deepest, natural bays in the world. Here the Atlantic Ocean meets the Gulf Stream to create a perfect, organic environment to grow Blue Shell Mussels.

IT'S IN THE DNA

Growing up in Bantry Bay, Paudie and Brian Murnane absorbed the knowledge of their father and the local harvesters from a young age. Brian has been a farmer of the ocean since he was thirteen and understands the natural rhythms inside out.

KEEPING IT LOCAL

Our Organic Farm is set in the 35 km long ria of Bantry Bay. Our preparation team works just metres from the waters edge, to ensure the fresh goodness is preserved safely and quickly. We work with forty-one dedicated people from the surrounding area and also support independent, local mussel harvesters. We live and we breathe our passion.
